We’ve just released a new update to Staples Connect, packed with new features, devices, and performance improvements. Here are some of the things you can look forward to when you download Staples Connect 1.4 from the App Store, Google Play Store, or Windows App Store.
Windows App Store
You read it right: Staples Connect is now available in the Windows App Store. No matter what your device, we’ve got an app for you: iPhone, iPad, Android, Windows, and on the web. Staples Connect goes wherever you go.
Landscape view for cameras
Viewing a camera on a phone is difficult. There’s not a lot of room to see all the details in a picture. Until now, Staples Connect has only featured camera views in portrait, which doesn’t give you much space. But now, you can turn your phone sideways to better see the picture from one of your D-Link cameras. Tap the screen to adjust your camera so you can see the whole room. We had a lot of fun with this feature and we think you’ll love it too. (Currently available on iPhone, coming soon to iPad and Android)
iPad Settings Tray
We rebuilt the entire Settings section on the iPad, making it clearer and more useful. You can see all of your hubs at once, switch between them easily, and access your account information from the main screen.
Full control of Aeotec Smart Strip
You asked for it, we built it. Full control of the Aeotec Smart Strip is now in Staples Connect. Turn any outlet on the power strip on and off individually or turn the entire strip on and off at once. The convenience of a power strip now gets merged with the power of Staples Connect.
New devices: Hue Downlamp Light and Leviton Universal Magnetic Dimmer

We’re always adding new products to Staples Connect, and two recent additions are the Philips Hue Downlamp BR30 Light Bulb (and Starter Kit) and the Leviton Universal Magnetic Low Voltage Dimmer. The Hue Downlamp Lights are great for spotlighting an area like a kitchen countertop and while the Leviton Dimmer gives you total control over your lighting throughout the day and night.
