How difficult is it to install and use Z-Wave technology?

Z-Wave technology is designed with efficiency and usability in mind. Available at a fraction of the cost of wired home automation systems, Z-Wave is simple, reliable, and highly compatible with a range of devices – smart and “non-smart.” You can set up a Z-Wave network at home by purchasing a hub, or controller, which will serve as the brain of your automated home, connecting your devices and appliances to you via an app on your smart phone or tablet. Once you’ve chosen the hub, it's easy to connect devices one by one – and just as easy to remove them from the network should you decide they aren't necessary.

If, however, the prospect of installing Z-Wave technology seems daunting, most home security providers (9 out of 10) use Z-Wave technology themselves, and can assist with installation in person or over the phone. And major telecommunications providers, like Verizon and AT&T, can also help you to set up your Z-Wave technology.
