Z-Wave radio-frequency technology requires no wiring
Control outdoor lights without going outside
Weather-resistant module doubles as a repeater for increased signal reliability
Lighting control is becoming increasingly common in homes and businesses. Now you can expand this control to your outdoor lighting, including patio lights, landscape lights and holiday lights by connecting them to a Z-Wave Outdoor Lighting Module. By doing so, you'll be able to control a light or light set remotely using a radio-frequency controller, so no wires need to be run, and you won't have to rely on power lines to get your signals across. The Outdoor Lighting Module accepts timed signals, so you can schedule your outdoor accent lights to turn on at dusk, especially convenient in inclement weather. By using radio frequency technology, Z-Wave components require no wiring, and since each module includes a repeater function, adding more modules to your Z-Wave network actually improves reliability. Note: Z-Wave technology is not X10 compatible.
The Z-Wave Outdoor Lighting Module is fully weather-resistant, so it will aid in controlling any outdoor lighting. Installation is easy, and two-way feedback confirms that each device is set up and working properly. Once set up, you'll be able to turn your outdoor lights on and off using a Master Remote Controller or a Handy Controller (each sold separately); take advantage of the manual override function to turn the lights off at their source.
You can expand your Z-Wave network by adding plug-in Appliance Modules and Lamp Modules. The In-Wall Switch/Dimmer replaces a standard wall switch to control a single light.
